I am very happy for the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Clinical Endoscopy (CE).

When I was invited to become the Editor-in-Chief of the new international journal “CE” 10 years ago, I undertook this challenging job with high enthusiasm and a sense of heavy responsibility. As 10 years passed by, I am proud of what CE had achieved nationally and internationally.

At its outset, the journal was published in quarterly basis. Starting from the year 2013, it became a proud bimonthly international endoscopy journal with many valuable articles published since. Although the initial editorial board members were mostly from South Korea and some from Japan and United States of America, now the board members have expanded to 39 members, representing 22 countries. The first issue of CE published 11 articles, 10 from Korea and 1 from Japan. The present issue of September 2021 has 26 articles contributed by authors from Japan, Netherland, South Korea, Thailand, Brazil, Sweden, USA, South Africa, Egypt, Chile and Italy. Every year, researchers from 50 countries throughout the world are submitting their manuscripts to CE for publication. CE has been listed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), PubMed Central (PMC)/PubMed, Scopus, EBSCO, DOAJ, and Embase. Thus, CE has become one of the recognized journals in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy.

I sincerely congratulate the editors of Clinical Endoscopy for the successful 10th Anniversary. Also, I do appreciate highly all the authors, reviewers and editorial board members who made this valuable endoscopy journal a successful one.
